About Hints Box

Hints Box is a small collection of free tools for the little problems that slow students down: a sluggish counseling form, a percentage you need quickly, a word limit you keep missing.

How it works

Describe the problem in the search box on the home page and we show the closest tool. If nothing fits, send us a request and we may build it.

Your data

Every tool runs in your browser. What you type into a tool is not sent to us. Some tools remember your work on your own device using browser storage, which you can clear at any time. The only thing we store is the text of a tool request if you choose to send one. See the privacy policy.

Official sites

We are not affiliated with any exam authority or counseling body. Hints Box never logs in or submits anything on an official site for you. Always verify numbers and choices before you submit.

Credits

Search uses the open-source potion-base-2M static embedding model by MinishLab (MIT licence), quantised to run in your browser. Decorative figures use Hairline by Lucas Marques (MIT licence), modified to carry our icons; its licence is kept in /vendor/hairline/LICENSE.
