About this tool

The Pomodoro technique splits work into focused blocks with short breaks. Start a 25-minute focus block, rest for five minutes, and take a longer break after a few rounds. The timer keeps correct time even when the tab is in the background and plays a short beep when a block ends.

How to use it

  1. Pick Focus, Short break or Long break.
  2. Press Start. The remaining time also shows in the browser tab title.
  3. When the beep sounds, switch modes and repeat.

Frequently asked questions

Will it keep running if I switch tabs?
Yes, it is based on the clock, not on a ticking counter.
Can I change the lengths?
Not yet. Defaults are 25, 5 and 15 minutes.
